chances are, you're going to skip right past this because it's in game parla, but I urge you not to, because this is good fun.
Mafia is an easy game people can play on forums and boards such as this. basically, the group of people who sign up are split into 2 groups. the townspeople are the larger group who are trying to find out the mafia members among them. every day, the group as a whole will try to vote off a mafia member. be careful though, because the mafia members get to vote too, because by day, they are just like the townspeople.
at night however, the mafia rules. they will vote amongst themselves and someone from the town will be murdered.
if you sign up, you agree to the following rules.
1. you will not reveal your role to anyone, unless you are given permition to by me, as moderator. some people with special powers in the game may reveal themselves to other players when they choose to activate their power. you may give subtle hints to people when you make posts, but if they directly reveal who you are, then you will be kicked from the game.
2. if you're kicked from the game, that means you're out. if someone drops out, I may ask you to take their place. but if you're dead, your dead, and this means that you can't play anymore. if too many dead people start posting I'll just stop the game.
3. you will not talk about the game outside of this topic. I realise this is hard to police, but I will be keeping an eye out for people who do it, and if i see way to much of it happening I'll just stop the game. trust me, it's more fun if people don't act like idiots and obey the rules.
assigning of roles will be totally random, so please don't think that everyone who signs up first will be townspeople, or have the special powers or whatever. it's done with a generator.
I'll run this if we can get at least 10-12 people to play.
I'll give a whole heep of my points to the winner.
I'm interested. At least this isn't just another alphabetical list or word game.
